When you finish it, you will know the basic principles on which EBP was founded, you will learn how this methodology arose, how it is defined and what elements constitute it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will also allow you to reflect on your clinical practice, and provide you with an overview and information to help you cultivate a spirit of inquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Step 0 of the EBP process to become an #Evidencer!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You can access the module whenever you want, it is permanently open, allowing you to review and interact with the contents and activities as many times as you need. We estimate a duration of approximately 8 hours to complete the tasks, read the contents and take the tests, so we recommend that you complete it in 2-3 weeks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Competencies that you will achieve at the end of the module:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Questions clinical practices for the purpose of improving the quality of care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Describes clinical problems using internal evidence (evidence generated internally within a clinical setting, such as patient assessment data, outcomes management, and quality improvement data).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participates to establish and sustain an evidence-based practice culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Learning outcomes of this module are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Affective domain:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Believes that EBP results are the best clinical care of patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supports a culture of inquiry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understands the impact of the clinical practice questioning on improving individual\/group health outcomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Cognitive domain:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understands the distinction between using research to inform a clinical decision-making vs conducting research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explains the significance of practice variation related to evidence-based care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Justifies that the 7 steps of EBP help to make decisions in clinical practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Defines EBP as the integration of the best research evidence with clinical expertise and the patient\u2019s unique values and circumstances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Skills domain:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identifies gaps in clinical practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identifies the need for change based on evidence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Addresses clinical problems and quality improvement issues with the evidence-based practice process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is the introductory module to Evidence Based Practice (EBP).
