You will understand how the Level of Evidence is assigned to scientific research and its correspondence with the Degree or Strength of recommendation of clinical interventions.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, you will understand how statistics can easily and simply help you make better clinical decisions. Finally, you will be able to apply everything you have learned in the critical reading of pre-appraised evidence such as Systematic Reviews (meta-analysis) and Clinical Practice Guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>The operation of this module, like the rest, allows you to do it at your own pace, since it is permanently open. We estimate an approximate duration of 30 hours to complete the tasks, read the contents and take the tests, so we recommend that you do it in 5-6 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Competencies that you will achieve at the end of the module:<br \/>\nCritically appraises pre-appraised evidence (such as clinical practice guidelines and systematic reviews).<\/p>\n<p>The Learning outcomes of this module are:<\/p>\n<p><em>Affective domain:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Appreciates the practical utility of research findings<\/li>\n<li>Encourages to evaluate clinical practice guidelines and other evidence for applicability and feasibility in practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Cognitive domain:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Distinguishes the importance of the difference between evidence-based documents and opinion-based documents.<\/li>\n<li>Lists of advantages of pre-appraisal documents as a strong evidential foundation for clinical decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Describes the different quality level of the designs of the investigation studies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Skills domain:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Distinguishes the difference between clinical importance vs statistical significance.<\/li>\n<li>Interprets different types of measures of association and effect, including key graphical presentations and confidence intervals.<\/li>\n<li>Uses relevant appraisal tools to evaluate the evidence.<\/li>\n<li>Interprets the grading of the certainty in evidence and the strength of recommendations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This module provides an overview about evidence assessment and clinical decision making to help you maximize your learning.
